Professional Photography With Personality
Voice over artist head shot

The photographs you use to represent yourself matter.

Whether they’re on your website, LinkedIn profile, social media, marketing materials or professional directory, they’re often the first impression people have of you and your business.

A strong photograph should do more than simply show what you look like. It should help people understand who you are. It should communicate confidence, professionalism and approachability while still feeling natural and genuine.

My approach combines the professionalism of a great headshot with the personality and character of a thoughtful portrait.

More Than Just a Headshot

A traditional headshot serves an important purpose. It helps people recognise you, builds credibility and creates a professional first impression.

But people rarely choose to work with someone based on professionalism alone.

They want to feel a connection. They want to see the person behind the business.

That’s why my sessions go beyond creating a simple profile picture. Together we’ll create a collection of images that feel professional, polished and representative of who you are, while also capturing the personality, warmth and character that help people relate to you.

A Relaxed, People-First Approach

Very few people arrive at a shoot feeling completely comfortable in front of a camera.

That’s perfectly normal.

My job isn’t to make you perform. It’s to create an environment where you can relax, stop thinking about the camera and focus on the conversation.

I work with an unlimited studio time policy, typically around three hours, because great photographs rarely happen when you’re watching the clock. The extra time gives us the freedom to explore different ideas, take breaks when needed and allow you to settle into the experience naturally.

There’s also no limit on wardrobe changes, giving us the opportunity to create a variety of looks and images throughout the session.

Tailored To You

01 Discussion

We'll discuss how and where the images will be used, who they're intended to connect with and the impression you'd like them to leave.

We'll also talk about your work, your personality and what you want people to understand about you when they see the photographs.

The goal isn't simply to decide what the images should look like. It's to understand what they need to achieve.

02 Planning & Preparation

Once we have a clear direction, we'll plan the shoot together.

We'll discuss wardrobe choices, locations, backgrounds and the overall style of imagery that feels right for you.

Whether you're looking for professional headshots, editorial portraits or a combination of both, every decision is guided by your goals rather than a fixed formula.

03 The Shoot

This is where everything comes together.

I work with an unlimited studio time policy because great photographs take time. Most sessions last around three hours, giving us the freedom to explore different looks, lighting styles and outfit changes without feeling rushed.

I won't over direct you but during the session I'll guide you with posing and expression, helping you feel comfortable and confident in front of the camera.

04 Selection & Editing

After the shoot, I'll carefully curate the strongest images and upload them to a private online gallery.

You'll be able to review the photographs at your own pace and select your favourites for professional editing. My approach to retouching is subtle and natural, refining the image while preserving the personality and character that make it feel genuine.

05 Delivery

Once your selected images have been edited, they'll be delivered in high resolution and ready to use across your website, LinkedIn profile, social media, marketing materials and professional platforms.

The result is a collection of photographs that feel professional, approachable and unmistakably you.

Portraits With Personality

The strongest photographs reveal something about the person in front of the camera.

Whether that’s confidence, warmth, creativity, intelligence, humour or quiet strength, I’m always looking for the moments that feel genuine rather than manufactured.

Much of my work is influenced by editorial portraiture, creating images with character, presence and a sense of story rather than relying on obvious poses or forced expressions.

The result is photography that feels engaging, human and unmistakably yours.

Your Images

After the shoot you’ll be able to review a gallery of your photographs and select your favourites for professional retouching. If you find it difficult to choose, you’re not alone. Many clients do.

I’ll carefully curate a selection of shots to be edited which can then be purchased from the session, allowing you to build a collection that works across your website, social media, marketing materials and professional profiles.
